Statement |

| This work includes recontextualized media-generated images, as well as images from family albums, self-portraits and "live" portraits of other friends and strangers. Their original form has changed and the context of their presentation has been altered. The people represented are from different worlds, yet they have much in common. | ||||||||
| Some of these portraits represent the faces of people with whom you are familiar. Gazing at these veiled images may obscure one's ability to self-identify, accept or dismiss the person represented. The form of this presentation may encourage a pause towards a view previously unseen. | ||||||||
| As you approach the image from a more intimate view the possibility of identification dissipates. Perhaps this is the dichotomy, a selected photographic pose of the familiar and the perpetuated idea of self in contrast to the diffused representation of the unidentifiable that remain unnamed. | ||||||||
